ELIGIBILITY requirements

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a current (senior or junior) FIRST team member/participant in the 2015-2016 school year

• Must have a 3.0 GPA unweighted or higher

• Must have a minimum of 2 years on either a FRC and/or FTC team

• Applicant must be a legal United States resident

• Must provide contact of current lead mentor of FRC/FTC team

• Team of applicant must have either attended RoboProm™ 2015 or is going to attend RoboProm™ 2016. 

• Team 399: Eagle Robotics members are ineligible

Judging Criteria

• Essays will be scored on a 1-5 scale

• Minimum of 2 judges will score each essay

Essays

• All 3 questions must be answered in essay form

• 500 characters or less per essay 

• Essay Questions:

  • Describe your current position/responsibilities on your team.

  • What do you feel is your biggest personal accomplishment on your team?

  • How has being on a FIRST team made a positive impact on your life?

Submissions and Awards

• Online Secure Submission

• Only one submission per applicant

• Winner will be announced at RoboProm™ 2017 at respective location

• One time scholarship of $500 paid to an accredited two or four year college.  
• Applications are due by 6PM PST, April 8th, 2017
• Late applications will not be accepted.
