RoboProm FAQs

RoboProm originally started as a small party for our students that missed their school prom to come to FIRST World Championships. Over the years, we found that we weren’t the only ones missing out! So, we decided to host Roboprom for everyone. Since then, it has evolved into a night for robotics people to have fun, connect, destress, and let loose after a season of hard work. Complete with a Roboprom Court, scholarships, live DJ and more, Roboprom is the place to be at FIRST World Championships!
RoboProm this year will be held on April 30th from 7:30 PM–11:00 PM.
We are thrilled to announce that this year's RoboProm will be held at the iconic Daikin Park (formerly known as Minute Maid Park), home of the Houston Astros!
Each ticket costs $45 USD.
Ticket pickups for RoboProm will be at the outdoor archway of the Atrium entrance gates:
- Wednesday, April 29 — 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM (5 hours)
- Thursday, April 30 — 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (3 hours)
Please bring proof of purchase and a valid photo ID when picking up tickets. The name of the person picking up must match the name on the ticket purchase.
If you are outside the U.S., please contact us at roboprom399@gmail.com and we will provide you with specific instructions on how to complete your purchase.
Mentors are able to attend. We will provide 1 mentor wristband free of charge for every 10 team members. We have a limited capacity, so we can only distribute a certain number of wristbands.
Yes! There will be light snacks and refreshments provided. However, this is not a full meal so we recommend you make other arrangements for dinner.
No! We know that bringing formal wear to Champs is not always an option, so there is no official dress code. Many people choose to dress up, which we love, but RoboProm is just as fun whether you are dressed casually, formally, or in team gear.
Unfortunately, all RoboProm ticket sales are final.

Swag

Swag Packs will be available for presale along with tickets for $12 USD. Additional swag will also be sold at RoboProm during the event (limited quantities: $15 USD for shirt and $5 USD for drawstring bag).

Interested in being the RoboProm™ King, Queen, or Royal? Anyone attending RoboProm™ this year can participate. Make a campaign video about who you are and why you want to be a part of RoboProm™ Court. Talk about your experience with robotics competition and show off your personality! Post this video on Instagram with #RoboPromCourt26. The deadline to post your video is April 27th, 2026. Voting will open up to all RoboProm™ attendees the day of the event. Winners will be announced and crowned during RoboProm™. We can’t wait to watch all of your submission videos!
