These are the ideas that started Robotics Roadshow.

How do we build an alliance?

We saw a recurring problem: students across the Antelope Valley wanted to do robotics, but their schools didn’t have a program. As a Title 1 school, we knew those barriers all too well. We realized that for FIRST to thrive here, we couldn't just be one team—we had to be a coalition.

So, we formed AV C.O.R.E. (Antelope Valley Coalition of Robotics Educators).

This alliance unites four teams: Team 399 (Eagle Robotics), Team 2339 (Robolopes), Team 5869 (Aqueducks), and Team 7607 (The Blackbirds). By pooling our resources, we’ve secured funding for registration, travel, and equipment that was once out of reach. We even hire Team 399 alumni as tutors to ensure our students succeed in the classroom. Before C.O.R.E., many of these teams didn’t exist. Today, we’re removing institutional barriers and ensuring that any student in the valley can be a part of the FIRST community.
