Safety basics in a robotics workshop focus on preventing injuries, protecting equipment, and maintaining a controlled environment while building, testing, and operating robots.

  • Always be aware of surroundings (moving robots, tools, wires)

  • Keep workspace clean to avoid tripping hazards and clutter

  • Follow proper tool usage (power tools, soldering irons, etc.)

  • Never bypass safety guards or modify tools unsafely

  • Know emergency procedures (fire extinguisher, exits, shutoffs)

  • Avoid loose clothing or jewelry that can get caught in machinery

  • Report hazards or damaged equipment immediately
